I’m not able to share my full story as not enough space is given on here. I can only say that my experience with Serum, Penny and all of her wonderful team has more than made up for the utter incompetence of the medical profession of the UK, who managed to fritter away my fertility.

I had my first call with Penny on 2nd April 21, had a salpingectomy due to hydrosalpinx filled with endometriosis on 7th June (was booked for May but problems due to Covid) and had a donor embryo transfer on 24th July.

I am now 9 weeks pregnant with twins. AMAZING.

The facts are that my wife and I suffered numerous failed attempts at getting pregnant at various IVF clinics in the US over many years.

A friend had 2 successful pregnancies with the help of Serum and suggested we give it a try. We did and found them excellent. My wife has become pregnant twice with the help of this clinic. Our baby son was born in February 2018 and if the current pregnancy continues to progress well the next baby will be born in 2020.

If we could go back in time knowing everything that we know now then we would have gone to Serum first. Save time, heartache and so much money!

After trying for 8 long frustrating years, we are now parents to a beautiful baby girl because of Serum and their excellent care. They really perform miracles!

Several months after our trip there we were able to conceive naturally.

Serum IVF is indeed a very special place with positive energy/baby energy surrounding their place. They treat their patients like family and do everything possible to help.

I had their world-famous hysteroscopy which I absolutely recommend. It is true that other places also do hysteroscopy, but not like the one at Serum. Here they do special cuts to increase your chance of getting pregnant by 60 percent.

Dr. Koutoulakis, who performed my surgery, is a very talented and skilled surgeon. We flew all the way to Greece from the USA so I could have the procedure, and it was so worth it!

We have been to Serum twice. First time was for the consultation and the procedure mentioned above, second for IVF cycle which resulted in high quality frozen embryos. It was while planning our 3rd trip for a frozen transfer we got spontaneously pregnant!!

Even with travel costs ( two trips) and all the expenses, our treatment was still a FRaction of the cost it would have been in the USA. Prices at Serum are so very reasonable.

Not only that, but the quality of care at Serum surpasses quality of care at any fertility clinic I have been to in USA. The best part was visiting beautiful Greece- I miss it and can’t wait to go back!

It was the entire Serum team that took care of us. The front office ladies are super organized, quick to answer emails, and very efficient. The nurses or “midwives” are very skilled and good at what they do. Galia, the lab director/ embryologist is the sweetest, kindest person I have ever known.

It was an honor to meet Penny, the clinic director/founder. She is so intelligent and kind. She played a big role in our success, and so did Sofia, our consultant. She has a heart of gold. She always knew how to reassure me and make me feel positive when I felt that things were not going to work out. For example, when I was worried that we won’t have any embryos, or that medication won’t work because of a bad experience in the USA, Sofia was confident that things would work out, and she was right!

At Serum they know exactly what to prescribe based on your needs. They also use lower doses and gentler stimulation for the best outcome. Regardless of the stage of my treatment, and even when I already got pregnant, Sofia was always there for me, one email away.

With our hearts full of gratitude, we named our daughter Athena to honor the clinic and the beautiful city of Athens in Greece. We cannot thank them enough.

It’s our first experience, but everything went perfectly!

Serum is amazing. The whole staff was fantastic and knowledgeable and treated us like people with feelings and not just numbers. They went out of their way to accommodate us and our requests for information.

The new location offers extra treatments like acupuncture, relaxation rooms and a very good counseling service at reasonable prices.

Egg collection is under a light general anesthetic so it is not painful, if you get Victoria she’s a really skilled anesthetist. Prices made it possible for us to have a successful treatment, which would not have been possible in the US.

I cannot recommend Serum enough. It is like a big family away from home. Anyone having issues knows that fertility treatment is horrendous, especially with all the setbacks and the fertility industry it’s full of crooks who just want to sell you false hope just to take your money to end up childless and penniless. Serum is not like that.

I was lucky enough to have found Serum and staff I can trust, especially Penny the clinic director who helped me out a lot not only with the treatment but also with moral support during and after.
