I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
I had my transplant done July, 2017 after my wife and I did extensive reviews. The results have been impressive and I have since directed 7 friends to Civas’ clinic.
The treatment offered here is life changing.
No one, not even my barber can tell I had a transplant yet I’m so proud of it, I speak about it all the time. If you’re a middle-aged man who wants to turn back the clock 10 years get it done. You can control your weight with whole foods and exercise but not your hairline.
Civas is your solution.
3,200 grafts…great experience. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I definitely recommend this practice both for a very reasonable price and great results, they also took really good care of me. Dr Ekrem and his team are the real deal.
I can also recommend the curry restaurant on the street behind; it was lovely.
This was my 2nd hair transplantation (FUE method).
How does my first hair transplantation, done in Germany, compared to Civas? It is no contest. Hands down, Dr. EKREM CIVAS and his team deserve 5 stars!! And I paid much less for it. Indeed, I’m grateful.
My front hair line was designed with extra care and it looks very natural. The procedure at Civas seems to be twice the quantity received from my 1st hair transplant.
The people at the Civas Clinic, sincerely will exceed your expectations.
They are friendly and informed to answer any possible question you might ask. Hotel transfers, accommodation, city tour, everything was taken care of.
The price is in the middle of the pack, compared with other clinics in Turkey but it isn’t worth it. I’m of the opinion that it is better to pay a few hundred more dollars for Civas expertise and treatment; yes, it was worth it.
Civas Clinic, with the Dr. Ekrem and his specialized medical team for hair transplantation as an excellent choice !!!

Highly Recommended – Absolutely Stellar Experience
An absolutely stellar experience.
Everything from the procedure to the support (airport pick up, hotel, transfers to/from the clinic and hotel, follow ups). Dr. Civas, his team provided throughout my treatment as we all post-treatment was/is amazing.

The process was easy and I pretty much slept through it all. Minimal pain felt.
Without a doubt Dr Civas and team are the best in their field. Zeynap made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. From the intial message sent at enquiry right the way through treatment and aftercare to ensuring we arrived safely back home.
Myself and my whole family were taken care of throughout with care, attention, respect and professionalism at all times.
On the day of the procedure Dr Civas explained all and we got on without delay. The clinical team were extremely professional. The process was easy and I pretty much slept through it all.
Minimal pain felt. The clinic is very modern, clean and up to date. I also visited the new center which is even more amazing.
Dr Civas and team only conduct 1 surgery per day, this way you are well taken care of and not a part of a mass production farm unlike other places.
I highly recommend Dr Civas as well as the surgery team, aftercare and exemplary service throughout.

It was lovely to meet you and the rest of the team. Dr Civas is a lovely man and I would like to thank him for all the work he has done for me, and for his patience.
The hair on the transplanted area is growing already, so I am surprised how fast it’s happened.
Please thank Dr. Civas for the birthday cake he sent to our hotel, it was lovely.
My wife and I were so touched, we loved it.
I have enclosed photos of the cake…

Dr Civas and his experienced team preformed a 2000 graft FUE hair transplantation on me.
The clinic arranged transportation to and from the airport and a very suitable hotel. My impression is that they really made an effort to make my stay in Ankara as pleasant as possible.
Different shopping centers, museums and restaurants were suggested. Transportation could be arranged when requested. I was very pleased with the service level. Dr Civas and the surgical team perform the operation in one day.
As a patient, I really felt a great caring for my wellbeing during the operation, which I appreciated a lot. My impression is that the surgical team was very experienced, and worked very efficient. I am extremely pleased with the operation.
No additional charges were added to the initial cost given to me by the clinic weeks before the operation. My post operation pain and problems were minimal. To conclude, I would like to state my strong recommendation for Civas Clinic.

I am very pleased with my treatment. I highly recommend this clinic.
Leitix, London
Everything went smoothly! All the people in the clinic were very kind. Not to mention breakfast on arrival, lunch in between the op and complimentary dinner from Dr Civas. 1st class. Everything well explained before and after procedure.
I received a print out about sightseeing in Ankara. It’s been two weeks today since the op and it all nearly forgotten now! Just waiting for new hair to grow.
Overall 10 out of 10!!! Highly recommend Dr. Civas and his team!!!
From UK
The results were as expected and the transplant area clearly showed growth of transplanted hair. AIt was just as the doctor said. Treatment went really well, the results were as expected and the transplant area clearly showed growth of transplanted hair. Just as the doctor said. Very Pleased.

Great Doctor and his team
3,800 grafts
Recovery is smooth without complications. Everything as expected. I was scared to travel to Turkey. I laughed after being there a few hours as it is so western and feels like home in so may ways. Ankara is the capital and the clinic is in one of the best parts of town where all the embassies are located. It feels a bit like Washington D.C. but with more hills. Americans are so uninformed about Turkey. People are very friendly and its safe place to be.

My hair surgery at Civas clinic
4,300 Grafts
One month into recovery and I am very satisfied so far. My journey started 1 year ago looking for surgeons, using Hebedoc.
I contacted Hebedoc and got immediate response.
Arriving in Ankara, I was met by clinics chauffeur at the terminal. He took me to the hotel, Koza Suite Hotel.
The next morning, I met Dr. Ekrem Civas at 8.15. After meeting Patricia and doctor Civas, I knew I made the correct decision in choosing a clinic. The clinic is very nice and tidy. You feel safe the moment you step inside. During the consultation we talked about where the grafts would be placed and created a very natural hair line, and yes you have a final say at every step of the way as to how you want the hair line to be. I was to have 3000 grafts in one session.
At 9.00 we started local anesthetic injections and after I didn’t feel anything in the donor area, doctor Civas started collecting grafts for the first 45-60 minutes.
After this, his two highly trained technicians started collecting grafts, after 4 hours the graft collecting was complete and I at dinner at the clinic. You may order whatever food you like, and the clinic will have it ready during break.
Dr Civas then makes all the holes for the graft and creates the hair line that we drew earlier during the consultation. Next, he placed the graft at the hairline himself, before the two technicians filled in the rest. Eight hours later, my hair transplant was finished.
They cleaned my head and put on a bandage until the next day.
The doctor then explained, step by step, what I, personally need to do for after care.
The clinic arranged transport to the hotel.
The next day I had my first washing and they show you, step by step, how to do it. In my case I had more days stay then the usual 3 days package. I was in Ankara for 9 days in total. During my stay, I felt at home and I can assure you that you will be the center of attention from the moment you step inside the clinic.
I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a hair transplant.
5 weeks since my surgery, most of the transplanted hair is still shedding and I am awaiting new hair to start growing. The donor area is looking good, still a bit red but this is normal as far as I understand.
Every question I have had has been responded the same day or the next by the clinic. The final result will show in 12-14 months, I am waiting patiently.
I would like to thank Doctor Ekrem Civas and his staff for everything. I hope my journey will help others in their decision of clinic as well. Thanks
Persia
I am very pleased with everything Dr Civas and his lovely team done for me!!
I am very happy with everything! Doctor and his team are real professionals. They are the best in Turkey. All was organized very well. I was scared to travel to Turkey from the UK but it was nothing like I imagined it will be. It is so safe, Western, and the people are really friendly. Civas’ staff helped me in every way possible. The hotel, included in price was super convenient and easy—great neighborhood with all of the embassies. Fast internet connection. I highly recommend to anyone!

My experience with Civas Clinic
This is a highly skilled doctor that listens to patients concerns and needs, his career and diplomas speak for itself, and I can assure you that you will be the center of focus the entire time undergoing surgery at the hands of Doctor Ekrem Civas and his crew.

Amazing experience with Dr Civas at Civas Clinic
I am from Manchester UK. My hair was thinning and i decided to have a hair op. I was always keener on FUE as this is a neater process and doesn’t leave any scarring. I decided to look into surgeons in Turkey.
There are over one 100 surgeons in Turkey, Hebedoc helped a great deal in narrowing it down to the best of the best. I did independent research to find the best one, but in the end decided to go with them because of how easy they make it for you.
Dr. Civas has tremendous educational knowledge, written books on hair surgery and hair advice, given speeches at International Conventions and is recognized by the most Hair Transplant Governing bodies around the World.
I booked myself in for Tues 9th January 2017. What I can advise is from the moment in Ankara, I was totally looked after the Civas Clinic. I had a driver waiting for me at the airport, very good hotel close to the clinic. I felt so comfortable being in Turkey knowing you are in good hands. On surgery day Dr Civas is very articulate, very professional and extremely courteous in everything he does. Dr Civas makes you feel like you are a family member. Dr Civas performs the surgery and he focuses on 1 patient a day. He will make sure after surgery you safety taken back to your hotel and the next day you are safely picked up to have hair cleaned. I am extremely happy with FUE treatment I have had and so glad I went to Dr Civas. I am now post 8 weeks surgery and thus far everything is going as planned and as advised and Post Op Guidence Instructions. The Civas Clinic is a great clinic with a very experienced Doctor with long list of credentials, excellent staff, great customer service from start to finish, a professional job in FUE, honest and accurate advise form day 1. If I needed to have a 2nd treatment, Dr Civas would be my 1st choice over any surgeon out there.

World class service and professionalism
3,400 grafts. Excellent staff, service and highly professional my whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. Inevitably when you travel this far for a procedure and put yourself in the hands of someone you’ve never met having paid in full, you are going to be nervous.
These nerves were dismissed immediately on meeting the consultant and his team. I could not have been in better hands throughout the whole procedure, the team here are very experienced and highly competent.
Having visited a couple of practices in the UK previously (Faro Clinic, plus one other in west London), I found the Civas Clinic to be significantly more personal and while relatively expensive in Turkey, vastly cheaper than the UK.
How many other clinics only operate on one client per day? Yes it’s too early to determine the results, but I would highly recommend the team in Ankara. World class service throughout.

FUE Technique 3200 Grafts in Civas Clinic
9 days post-op
I’m 43 years old, losing my hair moderately in the last 6-8 years and getting the hairline of my father. My hair is straight and has never been very thick (the same holds true for all family members). I’ve never been thinking of hair transplantation as losing hair on my hairline and frontally has never been a serious issue for me.
The bug in my head came after several conversations with my hairdresser, who underwent similar treatment with an impressive result. Additionally, I met two guys who by chance who used HebeDoc and had the procedure performed at the same clinic with very satisfactory results.
What I’m expecting as a result is full natural density at the hairline and frontal areas and much more improved density in the crown area.
I haven’t been in direct contact with him yet, but I received great support by his assistant Patricia Petkey. There is not much to say – the replies are timely, comprehensive and helpful.
Hebedoc’s website is very informative and covers everything, I would say. After having sent six pictures as requested, I received and accepted their offer.
I sent my 10% deposit and received a surgery date.
Updated on 6 Feb 2018:
As promised here my report day by day from my visit in Ankara for FUE with Dr Civas.
4 Feb ’18 – arrival:
Arrival at Ankara airport, and although the flight was delayed, I got a message from the driver to call him when landed – indeed, he picked me up some minutes afterwards and brought me to the hotel booked by the clinic.
Hotel: It offers everything one might need – only few minutes from the clinic, comfortable small rooms with breakfast included, restaurant and bar if you prefer not to go out, etc.
5 Feb ’18 – consultation with Dr Civas:
Friendly welcome by doctor’s assistants, filling in a form, chat with Patricia Petkey who answered all kinds of questions I had, so that as I meet the doctor I didn’t have anything else to ask. Very friendly conversation, discussion about hairline and procedure on the following day. Use this timeslot for any questions you might have.
6 Feb ’18 – FUE treatment:
8:15 – haircut and wash, medication (sedative); then drawing hairline and areas to be implanted by Dr Civas
8:30 – anesthetizing the donor area – a lot of injections in the back of the head until you don’t feel anything anymore
8:50 – 12:30 – extraction of grafts (3 200), counting, their preparation – done by three assistants under the regular control of the doctor. One of the assistants was handling the machine which releases the grafts from the scalp, a second one was extracting them, third one was counting and categorizing them (how many – triple, double and single-hair grafts).
12-30-12:50 brief lunch prepared by the clinic
13:00-16:15 – implantation
First step is again anesthesia of the recipient area – a lot of injections on the top of the head until you don’t feel anything anymore. Then Dr Civas makes 3 200 holes for the grafts.
Bandaging, instructions, medications to be used and departure.
So, this was the factual part. Now briefly how I felt.
Assistants have to work very precisely – from counting to implanting, really admirable. It’s also not easy for the patient as movements are not allowed. However, whenever you have to move, drink water, go to the toilet etc. you’re of course allowed to do so.
Unfortunately, reading book or iPad, or playing with a mobile was not possible. You could however try to fully relax as much as possible and have a nap. You do not feel any particular pain (that’s why the anesthesia)
I walked back to the hotel and had a coffee and chat in the lobby for an hour, then dinner and a relaxing evening. Light headaches, but you get painkillers from the doctor, you might also wish to ask for a sleeping pill (diazepam or similar) if you think you’ll need it.
Bandage has been removed and head washed. I got a bit dizzy during this – feeling like ethanol on an open wound.
Shampoo and all medication have been provided by the doctor.
Updated on 7 Feb 2018:
Quick review how the situation is – actually nothing special. Not feeling any pain, spraying the recipient area 2-3 time every hour with Ext. Saline spray provided and applying Thiocilline cream on the donor area once per day (for the first five days).
Sleep has also improved. In the afternoon the head is going to be washed. Wearing a cap when outside. Not smoking, no alcohol – just following the instructions.
Updated on 8 Feb 2018:
I’m leaving only tomorrow (stayed Sun 4/02 – Sat 10/02) – the doctor offered to wash my head again as I’m here anyway 🙂 Not only that, but he offered to organize a sightseeing for me 🙂 I’m really impressed!
Updated on 11 Feb 2018:
I’m back to Finland, returned yesterday evening. My return flight was via Istanbul where while waiting on the passport control queue I saw at least 5-6 other guys with transplant op’s 🙂 It a big business in Turkey, over 1mm procedures performed each year.
Anyway, there is nothing new to report, on the 5th day I quit using Thiocilline cream (last application), will spray saline fluid for two more days, then apply olive oil on days 8, 9 and 10 for one hour to soften/soak crusts, then washing off.
On 10th day I should quit using Sebamed baby shampoo and continue using regular one (I already bought some hair growth stimulating shampoos from the pharmacy). On 15th day I intend to start using Regain foam (Rogain) containing 5% Minoxidil as an active ingredient (for indefinite period of time). That’s all.
It’s a bit unfortunate that I still should wait for a gym (first 10 days), swimming pool and sauna (first 15 days). I haven’t smoked since the op (that’s a big achievement for me :)), no problems with alcohol as I do not drink anyway 🙂
Will post some pics on day 10, 15, 20 and on 1st of March. Now check the Ankara view from the Ankara Kalesi (Ankara Castle), a fortification from the late antique / early medieval era (7th century AD) – my sincere thanks to Dr CIvas and his team for organising the sightseeing 🙂

Updated on 16 Feb 2018:
Scabs dried and almost fell off. Top still numb. Following the instructions, I quit using Sebamed baby shampoo, continue with regular one (I already provided some good ones for thinning hair or revitalising etc. – just visit your preferred pharmacy and get advice; e.g. Phyto Phytologist 15 Absolute Energizing Shampoo), considering also taking biotin (vitamins complex). On the the 16 day I’ll start applying Regain (Rogain) foam (minoxidil 5%) on the transplanted area.
Updated on 2 Mar 2018:
Hi guys,
here an update almost one month after my FUE treatment with Dr Civas in Ankara:
this is the monthly reporting on the current situation after the OP on 6 February.
– I continue taking ¼ tablet Proscar (Finasterid) as prescribed;
– I do applying Rogain (minoxidil foam 5%) twice/day;
– donor area is occasionally itchi, but nothing unbearable;
– transplanted area has begun gradually shedding; still reddish and partly numb – all as expected I assume.
Updated on 30 Mar 2018:
Almost two months after op (6/02). It is still partly numb and reddish, with no substantial new hair growth. I’m continuing taking ¼ tablet Proscar, applying mornings & evenings Rogain foam.
Updated on 30 Apr 2018:
3 months post op (6 Feb.) Some parts of the scalp still numb and no substantial hair growth, but I guess this is OK at that stage. Approx. one more month to finish the Proscar tablets (¼ each day), Rogain foam applied twice daily. No unintended effects observed.
1-3 Months – no substancial hair growth expected; transplanted hair sheds for new hair to grow, the scalp heals and the hair gets to the resting phase – 0% results;
4 Months – growth of the transplanted hair begins show – 20-30% of the results.
So, let’s be patient! 🙂
Updated on 1 Jul 2018:
Fifth month mark, guys… front pic and close plan of the top – don’t know what to think, but somehow not that great, isn’t it? I know it is still too soon for conclusions, but it’s kind of discouraging…
Greets,
Ned
Updated on 4 Aug 2018:
Six month mark. Not forgetting that in theory this should be only 60% of the final result. I don’t know how thing will develop in the next month, still hope for density to improve further. Keep you posted.
Updated on 29 Sep 2018:
Eight months result – close plan, not styled at all, last hair cut 3 weeks ago.
I never had very thick hair, so I don’t expect much more thickening either. From a distance however it looks pretty normal and no density issue at all.
10 months! I changed the status of the review to “Worth it” as it seems to had worked well. Will do a final post in the 12- month.
Updated on 10 Feb 2019:
One year after my FUE with Dr Civas is over and this will be my last post for now – unless second session is needed… Dr. said. To continue with Minoxidil was his advice, don’t intend to do it very regularly, as it creates me itchy scalp (seborrheic dermatitis-like).
In summary, my FUE seems to have worked – It seems important that one manages his expectations and is patient. Further advice would be not to go for the unusually cheap treatments (btw, 10 % discount was announced on doctor’s website, if posting results over the year, now the page does not exist anymore, staff changed there and at the end – no discount, anyway).
Regarding Dr CIvas – He is very good and one of the best choices.

People travel from all over the world to have their transplant done in this clinic, yes, it is that special. If you are on the fence, do it. It will change your life forever.

He is really amazing. Actually, at the beginning I have doubts.
I know it’s not perfect. I read about the surgery beforehand.
I am really happy and thankful!

I really recommend this clinic for anyone planning to have a hair transplant.
Dr. Ekrem and his team are really professional. During the initial consultation, they assess your donor area with one thing in mind which is to avoid overharvesting. Unlike many other hair clinics who will try to maximize the number of grafts to get you to pay more, they harvested a slightly smaller number of grafts than what was initially estimated since my donor area did not support the initial estimate.
During the procedure, I did not feel any pain and Dr. Ekrem will constantly check on you in case you need anything or feel any discomfort. Of course, you will be given breaks and the clinic will even get you lunch.
After the procedure, I was really surprised and happy that there was no pain. I only felt slight discomfort. Dr. Ekrem’s instructions on post-operation care are meticulous. When I went to the clinic for follow-up, they show you how to wash your hair and apply treatment.
Whenever I had any inquiries, I would contact the clinic and they would happily answer all your questions. I was even welcome for another hair wash since I was anxious about how to wash my hair even after they did the first washing and needed reassurance.
The clinic has even secured all the medication I would need after the transplant including long term ones. I would also like to extend my special thanks to HebeDoc from Dr. Civas’ Clinic for their support
The clinic was fantastic at answering all my inquiries (which I had a lot of), securing medication, transport to/from the clinic, even transport to/from the airport and constantly following up with me after the surgery.

My hair grew, maybe 60% at the end from all the hair transplanted.
Booking through HebeDoc, I visited Dr. Civaş in Turkey for a second transplant and because I purchased the travel warranty, HebeDoc covered my flights and accommodations.
I am since extremely pleased with the procedure and HebeDoc after two and a half years. I highly recommend buying the travel insurance HebeDoc offers. It is a fantastic deal! $399, and I never had to worry about any additional travel costs.
Remember, 90 percent or more of the time things go well, but what if you are in the minority, 10%, when they don’t? HebeDoc took care of me.

Surgery went well and I didn’t feel pain at all
2 months post-op
I had an amazing experience 2 month ago through HebeDoc.
Dr Civas is professional, highly skilled and pleasant. The surgery went well and was pain free. The staff at the clinic and assistance received through HebeDoc was outstanding.
Zeynep even helped my girlfriend and I find our suitcase lost in flight.
HebeDoc, thank you for introducing me to this world-class clinic. I would have never gone it alone…too risky. I’m so glad I didn’t have to pay an extra $20,000 to have it done Stateside.
Thank you for helping me make the perfect choice! I can’t find words to thank everyone for everything. I definitely recommend the clinic and Hebedoc!

The operation was painless and everything went really well
I found the clinic through HebeDoc.
From the beginning, communication was effortless and it was easy.
During the trip, everything was taken care of really well, all rides, including to see the sights. The hotel stay was comfortable.
Remember, 90 percent or more of the time things go well, but what if you are in the minority, 10%, when they don’t? HebeDoc took care of me.

My apologies for the length of time it has taken me to write this review…it is my testimonial for your fantastic service.
You have changed my life. I couldn’t recommend you highly enough and, in a few years, I may return for another transplant, for a fuller look. I wouldn’t look anywhere else. It would be great to see you again as you have been so good to me!
I did a lot of research into Dr Ekrem Civas and was extremely impressed with his CV. I booked my flights and before I knew it, I was flying out to Ankara.
Civas clinic arranged a driver to collect me from the airport and also booked my hotel in a great location in Ankara. I had a consultation with Dr Civas, who explained the procedure. The following day was my surgery and I did not feel a thing! I napped whilst they operated!
After surgery a taxi transported me to the hotel with a full list of instructions to ensure a successful transplant. The following day I returned to the clinic for my first wash and final goodbye to all.
I returned home the following morning. My recovery went according to plan and the clinic even kept in touch to see how I was getting on. Any questions I had were responded to quickly.
16 months after the transplant I can say that I am absolutely delighted with the results. The results are unbelievably natural and it has given me more confidence.
In summary I would like to say a massive thank you to all at Civas cinic, especially Gonca and Dr Civas.
Thank you for everything I wish you all the best. ”

With this letter I want to thank Civas’ Clinic for a super-professional attitude, I strongly recommend their treatment.
My hair transplantation has great results. The information was clear, safe and they are kind and caring in a professional way; very clean and modern environment.
Everything is carried out precisely, through well-executed planning. I have been informed every step and felt fully secure.
The doctor and the nurses are experienced in their specialties and constantly asking how you feel during surgery.
All staff speak English well and communication was easy. They also offer information on attractions in Ankara.
My best thanks to Civas Clinic

I worried about the procedure meeting my expectations. Following a successful hair transplantation, now I feel more self-confident. Thanks to Civas’ staff.

I am a 32 year old female who has been suffering with Traction alopecia for more than 10 years. After making the decision to take the HT route one year ago, the next (and most important) step was to choose which clinic.
If you have been doing the same thing as I was for over a year, you have been searching the internet forums and websites trying to find the best Doctor, within reason as I do not have ‘Wayne Rooney money’ to spend!! Being a female, it was more difficult to find stories like this as its more embarrassing for us girls, which is why I had to write a review from my experience.
Emails were sent to and from me to various clinics (trust me – there were a lot!!) including pictures for quotes. Many were trying to sell me the FUE method when I was requesting FUT, because as a female, having large areas to fill and not willing to shave my whole head (a requirement for FUE) this was not an option for me.
From the first email, Civas called me almost immediately, gave me a personal evaluation, whereas most of the other clinics had sent what looked almost like a system generated email, just changing the name and price quote. Patricia the Coordinator was amazing from start to finish, answered all my questions and was available when I had more to ask, even Dr Ekrem Civas called me himself!!
Doing some more research on Dr. Civas, I found he is the only Doctor in Turkey who is registered on the American Board of Hair Restoration and he has been performing these procedures for more than 15 years, having more than 2,500 patients.
Patricia booked the date for me and booked me a few nights in the hotel. The only thing I had to send her was the flight details so they knew when to pick me up at the airport and to confirm I was definitely coming!! She even booked me extra nights in the hotel as my flight home was cheaper if I flew later!!
I arrived the day before my op with my husband and was met by the driver who took us straight to the hotel, just stopping outside the clinic briefly so I knew where it was for the next day.
The morning of my op, I spoke with Dr Ekrem in person for the first time. He is very nice as well as a highly competent professional. I felt completely at ease and confident he could produce the result I wanted.
The procedure was straightforward, pretty much exactly what I imagined. The medicine was minimal, (which is great as i do not like taking anything) just enough for me to be at ease and feel no pain. I actually slept through most of the planting process!!
Dr Civas provided me with everything I needed and might need for my recovery and for the next few months, as well as giving me detailed step by step instructions on paper, which he read through with me. He was available for any questions I might have, providing me with personal phone numbers in case I needed anything, even with the hotel being right around the corner from the clinic. He even bought me a kebab from his favorite place for me to have after my operation!!
The day after I returned to the clinic for the first shampoo, where they showed me what to do for the next few days. They even shampooed my hair the next day as well, I was spoilt!!
Before we left for the airport to return home, Patricia surprised me with a lovely gift of a photo frame to put pictures of me with my new hair!! I was overwhelmed, I wasn’t expecting that at all, what a nice touch.
Three weeks on and everything has gone exactly as Dr Civas explained.
I cannot express how impressed I have been with the service at Civas Clinic and encourage anyone who is in the same position as me to look no further.
You will be treated as a complete individual and you should have full confidence at the professionalism of the entire team.
Thank you to everyone at Civas for their fantastic hospitality!!
Donna G, USA.
I’m back to London now and wanted to thank you for everything as I’m happy with my surgery and the Doctor and his team and the hospitality were brilliant. Many thanks.

FUE procedure Dr Civas
It’s been a week since I had my FUE procedure with Dr Civas in Ankara. After researching options for a year I decided to go ahead with Dr Civas having read the positive reviews.
After completing the online consultation, I was contacted by Patricia via email on the 20th of February, who outlined the process and explained what Dr. Civas thought was possible.
The email was comprehensive, outlining the cost, number of grafts required (as an estimate) and package details. The communication was fantastic as I had a lot of questions! However, they were all answered straight away.
I was given a few dates including 2 cancellations. Patricia was very helpful with making the necessary arrangements. I wanted to stay an additional 2 days so that I would have the extra healing time and asked if they could arrange this with the hotel. Patricia was helpful and the hotel was booked for 6 nights ( I paid for the additional 3 nights).
I was sent over details on the procedure, post op care, sights to see in Ankara and details on the driver who would be picking me up.
After landing in Ankara, I was messaged by the driver, letting me know he was waiting outside with a card, clinic name and my name on it. The driver was very informative and gave me a brief background on the town in route to the hotel. The hotel was fantastic, clean and the staff helpfully. The room was spacious and very modern.
The next day, I walked to the clinic as it was only 5 mins around the corner. Patricia made me feel welcomed and went through my medical history while I waited for Dr Civas.
Dr Civas was very polite, well-spoken and professional. He answered a few questions I had in regards to the procedure and made me feel at ease. He checked my donor area and drew my new hairline, asking if I was happy. He explained what would happen the next day. I was extremely happy and left feeling good.
On the day of the procedure, I had a hearty breakfast and arrived at 8:15. I was taken to have my head shaved and was given some antibiotics. A few pictures were taken of my head and I was then taken to have a blood pressure test.
Dr Civas arrived and drew the hairline and started the procedure. The initial few injections were uncomfortable, however, once the anesthetic kicked in, I couldn’t feel anything!
Dr Civas started the extraction and checked the quality of the grafts. I would say he did about 30% of the extraction with his 2 nurses taking over afterwards. Dr Civas remained in the room checking on the progress. The nurses were fantastic and I even fell asleep! The extraction took around 4 hours, a little longer then normal for 5,000 grafts. I was given lunch which was nice and had a short break.
Dr Civas then gave me anesthesia for the front of my head. He started to make the incisions for the grafts and again I couldn’t feel anything. Dr Civas started the graft insertions and the nurse then took over. Again, he would check up and also top up the anesthesia when needed. I watched a movie during this part and had a short 5 min break to stretch my legs.
Once the procedure was over, I was bandaged up and was met by Patricia who gave me a snack to eat. Dr Civas then went through the post op care and I was given a print out of what meds to take and when. Dr CIVAS ordered me a cab and I was taken back to the hotel by one of the nurses.
The next day I went back for my first wash (stung slightly, due to the tiny holes) and have pictures taken of the result. Patricia made an appointment to see him the next day and even ordered me a special dinner at the hotel as I’m vegetarian!
The next day Dr Civas saw me and said everything had gone well. He ordered me pizza for dinner which was really good! Over the next few days I met with Dr Civas and to have my hair washed which was nice.
I’m very happy with the procure. I found the clinic to be accommodating, helpful and professional. They helped me with my dietary requirements, hotel stay and even ordering food for me from local restaurants.
Dr Civas and his team were fantastic! I’ve been back in London for a week now and everything is going well. Patricia has been in touching asking about my progress and if I have any more questions.
For now all is well the doner is healing nicely.

Dr. Ekrem Civas – Ankara, Turkey – 3200 Grafts – 30 Year Old Male – Ankara, TR
I live in Canada and have always thought about hair transplantation. After doing a lot of research and cost consideration, I ended up choosing HebeDoc and found Dr. Civas’s clinic for the hair transplant. The Clinic’s foreign consultant Patricia was able to answer all my questions via email.
We setup a date and I sent all my flight information. Upon arrival in Ankara, I was picked up by a driver who had a sign with my name on it. I was driven to the hotel, Koza Suites, where I began my stay. The hotel is quite nice with a complimentary breakfast everyday consisting of Turkish food. I tried the room service a couple times and the food was excellent.
The next day I walked to the clinic for my initial consultation. I was greeted by very friendly staff in a cozy office environment. I liked that the clinic was intimate and that only one hair transplant is performed per day. The staff are very friendly, speak English.
The doctor was very friendly and open to all my questions. He designed my hairline and showed me what areas would be covered and how.
I asked about restaurants for Turkish food, and the doctor immediately had the staff call me a taxi which routed me to a nice kebab restaurant. This was a nice gesture. I left feeling satisfied with my clinic choice. I walked around the main street a bit before retiring to my hotel room.
The next day was the procedure. I woke up early to eat breakfast and then made my way to the clinic. The proximity of the hotel to the clinic is easy, you could run there in a minute! The morning started with shaving my head and the doctor going over the entire day. I was greeted by a friendly team of nurses who have worked with the doctor for many years.
The doctor began by numbing the various areas of my head. This was a little painful but nothing to cry about. The morning was the extraction of grafts from the donor area which were then put into tiny petri dishes. I was pretty much awake during the entire procedure, watching TV here or there or listening to the staff speak in Turkish.
Lunch was a short break involving pasta and soup. The afternoon involved the placement of the grafts on my recipient area. The surgery took about 8 hours. I was then bandaged and shown how to wear a cap. A nice dinner was delivered to my hotel room that night courtesy of the clinic.
The following day was my post operation shampooing and care tutorial. This went well and I bid the staff goodbye.
I am very satisfied with the clinic. The doctor and staff were very friendly and professional.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Ekrem
I had a hair transplant with another doctor the first time, but it was so bad and left noticeable scar so I searched for a surgeon to repair my last procedure.
When I arrived in the airport, the driver was waiting and took me to the Koza hotel near the clinic. Civas was so welcoming and kind, I felt right at home.
He saw my scalp and explained that my donor area was limited. He could take around 2500 graft only to apply to my hairline, front area, vertex and cover the scar left by the first surgery. He explained everything in detail.
On surgery day, the doctor and his team started the procedure at 9 am. I didn’t feel any pain. His team is extremely professional. They finished 5 pm, about 8 hours.
I was made to be comfortable the entire procedure. Dr. Ekrem informed me they extracted 2250 grafts, he was very honest.
Thank you so much Civas hair transplant clinic. I’m so pleased with the results 🙂

Very Satisfied so far
I had a hair transplant with Dr Civas in December 2016. It’s been two and a half months since my procedure and I can start to see hair growth. The actual procedure, the hospitality received whilst in Turkey and the pre and post communication were all excellent. I highly recommend anyone doing a transplant to use Hebedoc and Dr Civas.

3,700 GRAFT FUE, 8 MONTH RESULT
Just over 8 months ago, I had a hair transplant with Dr. Ekrem Civas in Ankara, Turkey.
I chose Dr. Civas because of his international accreditations, his proven results and the lack of negative comments or complaints about him. I was also impressed with the ease of communication with his patient coordinator, Patricia, so the language barrier was not an issue.
Turkey is a mixed bag when it comes to the hair transplant industry. It is a bit like a pyramid. At the bottom and middle you have the factories or mills, who accept multiple patients each day and almost all of the work is carried out by technicians. The reason these places exist and thrive is because of the very low “all you can eat” fixed prices. It goes without saying that results vary wildly in these clinics.
At the top of the pyramid there are fewer clinics, all doctor-led, and the best are on a par with the top clinics in Europe and North America. Dr. Civas only takes one patient per day and that patient has his and his team’s exclusive focus.
About me: late 30s, Norwood 5, a lot of balding in the preceding 5-6 years but I had been on finasteride for 10 months prior to surgery, so that stabilized and slightly reversed my hair loss. Otherwise, I would have bottomed-out at Norwood 6 in a few years. Surgery was to be 3,700 grafts FUE and the price paid was just under EUR5,000 (a graft-based calculation, which also included the cost staying at a nearby hotel and airport collection/drop-off). Flights were separate.
My recollection of the surgery itself is quite hazy, due to the Valium I was given and the fact that I probably fell asleep a few times during the day. Time seemed to go by quite quickly though and pain was not an issue.
My hairline and the logistics of the surgery were discussed in consultation with Dr. Civas on the afternoon before. On the day of surgery, my head was shaved and Dr. Civas re-drew the hairline and marked the transplant area. He then administered the local anesthetic and began extracting some grafts. Two of his technicians took over the extraction and this took us up to lunch time. Dr. Civas regularly checked in on the extraction and inquired after me.
After lunch, Dr. Civas prepared the recipient zone and made the incisions. His techs then took over transplanting the grafts, with Dr. Civas giving direction and checking on me every so often. Surgery was over at around 18.00 and Dr. Civas and I had a de-brief.
He then phoned the hotel, ordered my evening meal and ordered a taxi for me back to the hotel (which was only 5 minute-walk from the clinic, but I preferred a taxi. Hello Valium!).
I was given a saline spray for the recipient area and various medicines to take as directed or needed. The following afternoon, I went back to the clinic to have my bandages removed and my hair washed etc. I found the staff in the clinic to be very helpful and gentle when doing this.
I still have around 4 more months of growth and maturation to go before the 12 month mark – which is the period one usually assesses the “final” transplant result. In the period between the transplant and the 8 months mark. I was in monthly or bi-monthly contact with the clinic, showing them my progress and asking questions etc. – so their patient aftercare is also very good.
From month 0 to month 8, everything was more or less textbook in terms of growth and reaching milestones etc. There were no complications. At the recommendation of Dr. Civas, I used minoxidil on the recipient area for the first 6 months in order to jump start growth – and I then stopped minoxidil after 6 months (not really a fan…). I continue to use finasteride and have recently added biotin and MSM (just in case they actually help…).
Turkey, Istanbul and Ankara are fascinating cities, not what I would have expected at all—very western.
Hebedoc got it right— affordably priced hair transplant with an excellent surgeon and a very strong team, Dr. Civas is the man! On a personal level, Dr. Civas is a very down to earth and humble person – easy to talk to and seems interested in hearing about the lives of his patients.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to stay an extra night in Ankara and expected that I would have to pay for the extra hotel and food out of my pocket, but I was surprised and pleased to learn that Dr. Civas had already called the hotel and told them that he would take care of the bill for this too. He didn’t have to do this, as I was no longer a patient and he had been paid already – but he did.

32 Years Old, 3200 Grafts W/ Ekrem Civas
7 days post-op
I’m a single, 32-year-old American. Norwood 5/6.
My review will be a “not sure yet” status until I am satisfied with the results, which will basically take a year. I will update this review periodically over the coming year, so unless I’m hit by a truck, expect constant updates and feedback here. I’m doing this as a service to my fellow baldies out there, because I was (and still am) in the same boat as you!
As far as my satisfaction with the doctor, team, and procedure itself – 5 stars. Read on for more details.
I’ve wanted my hair back for years now. I started losing my hair in my mid-20’s, and it seems to have stopped around 29. In the past, I’ve tried Rogaine, Lipogaine, and laser combs with no success (I had sexual side effects from the Rogaine/Lipogaine, sadly. Unlucky.)
I learned about Turkey and hair transplants a few years ago via Hebedoc, and this year I finally decided to just go for it.
My intent with this review is to give a solid, informative walkthrough from start to finish, and answer as many questions as possible. I am going to update this review over the course of the next year as my hair (hopefully) grows. I learned a lot from some of the better reviews on this site, and I want to contribute.
Let me start off by saying that even in Turkey, to some extent, you are probably going to get what you pay for. There are places (and some prominent Turkish doctors on this site) that charge around 1800-2000 USD/EUR. These places all run 3 people through surgery a day. Ask them yourselves.
Is that a bad thing? It depends on what you want. The doctors will always draw your hairline and be part of the process in some fashion, but no matter where you go, the doctor will not be doing most of the surgery. This will always be done by techs.
Make sure you get highly trained, experienced, and well-rested techs. Will you get these at a cheap “hair mill”? Maybe. Maybe not.
I booked through Hebedoc after a lot of research. I was looking for a hair surgeon that was cheaper than Western prices (which are typically around 20-22k), but could ensure high quality and a high success rate, and had good qualifications.
Some things that caught my eye:
– Fellow of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) (Search “Ankara” for city on their website. I think there’s maybe 2 other Turkish doctors that are fellows of the ABHRS; they are in Istanbul.
– Fellow of the ISHRS (International version of the above.)
Some doctors are associate members, and some are fellows.
Some doctors write papers and books, and give multiple speeches at these things. Others just join on and hope it gets them more business.
Look up Civas on the ISHRS website, then look up some of the hair mill doctors on this site on there. Check their status, what they’ve done, what they’ve written. Research your choices.
– Other groups, alliances, boards he is on (you can google these as you’d like): IAHRS (International), ESHRS (Europe), the Asian variant.
He’s on the US Embassy in Turkey’s website for doctors / medical assistance. Do your homework and thank Hebedoc for doing it for you.
– His tech team is very experienced. 16-20 years of experience. He’s been doing this for decades, by the way.
– He only sees 1 patient/day. — This is important for me.
Yes, Dr. Civas is more expensive the cheapo Turkish doctors.
He’s also more than 75% cheaper than any US doctor.
I care about myself and my results, and I’m not rich. Dr. Civas seemed like the perfect doctor for me and is probably more qualified than a lot of these US docs charging 20- 30,000)
Tip: US Citizens need a visa to get into Turkey (in addition to your passport.) You can buy this for $30 USD as soon as you get off the plane. They don’t take cards. Bring some cash with you, so you don’t have to do the escorted walk-of-shame to an ATM like I did.
The driver picked me up right outside the terminal. Very quiet guy, but efficient driver. I was greeted at the hotel by a friendly staff. The main guy there spoke great English.
Hey, Americans: Turkey is nothing to be afraid of. I walked all over Ankara during my trip, even at night. This place is far more progressive than most Arabian countries.
Girls walk their dogs alone, people smoke and drink, couples hold hands and grab each other’s asses. I walked around and nobody gave me a second look.
The food was incredible, the people were friendly, even before they realized I was American. Turn off FOX News and enjoy your world 😉
I got there on a Saturday and walked to the clinic a few hours after I arrived. I was greeted by Patricia, Dr. Civas’s awesome assistant from Kenya. She speaks like half a dozen languages and is super cool. We chatted about politics, and she gave me initial instructions for Monday.
Throughout my trip, I used Google maps to find nearby restaurants, and would either walk to them or use a taxi. There are taxis EVERYWHERE in Ankara. I had no issues getting anywhere I wanted to go.
On Monday, I came into the clinic at 8:15 AM and had photos taken, followed by having my head shaved. (I grew my hair out, hoping Dr. Civas would see it and learn about my hair style.
I met the doctor and we talked for a bit. This guy is very warm, calm, and humanistic. Direct eye contact. He thoughtfully answered all my questions (I had a lot of them.) He speaks English extremely well.
They gave me (what I assume) was a valium and an antibiotic, then lead me downstairs to the FUE surgery room. It was about as spacious as you’d expect a good surgery room to be, with a standard surgical bed, equipment, etc. Dr. Civas started to draw my hairline on my scalp.
He gave me a widow’s peak, which immediately told me he knew what he was doing. I had a widow’s peak my entire life, but that should not have been evident since I lost my hairline.
After doing my initial hairline, I asked him if he could take it lower. I expected objections from him, but he just simply agreed, wiped it away, and took it a bit lower. I also asked if he could fill in my temples more. He did so in a way that was realistic and natural, and curved them in. He explained that the good grafts (the ones that contain 2-3 hairs) will be used for the front hairline, and the rest will be used for the crown / back. I will probably still be a bit bald in the back / on top, but I’m fine with that. I can always get more surgery, if I even care at that point.
Dr. Civas values realistic, natural hairlines. I knew that before I got there. I think some of the cheaper or less-experienced doctors will give very robotic-looking hairlines. Dr. Civas puts in some imperfections for a natural look, but I don’t think he goes over-the-top with it either.
After I was satisfied with the hairline, he started the local anesthesia injections. People claim these are horrible… they’re really not that bad compared to real pain, it’s nothing. Grab the chair and squeeze if you need to. I did.
I took a LOT of anesthesia. I’m a big guy. 5’10, a gym lifter, and obese, too. I’m a huge mass of muscle and fat. The doctor gave me all the anesthesia he could allow for, but there was a small spot on my scalp that just could not be made 100% numb!
It was not their fault, trust me. Yes, guys and gals, I felt them extracting the grafts from this area. It was partially numbed, and it really wasn’t bad at all. He apologized and asked if I could manage, and I did.
The techs performed saline injections to expand the scalp. More on this later.
I didn’t sleep through the extraction process. It was mostly performed by 3 techs: one using the machine to open my grafts or whatever, one to extract them, and one was sorting / counting / saving them.
There was a TV with Turkish soap operas on for them to watch, but I don’t think the two working on my head watched it very much (I watched them occasionally in my peripheral vision.) They were quiet and focused on their work. I was mostly on my left side, eventually moving to my stomach and my right side. This part took a few hours. Every 20-30 minutes or so, he walked in to observe and ask if I needed to change positions, use the bathrooms, etc.
I felt very well taken care of. The techs were very friendly and let me moved when I needed to. I shifted once and the techs asked me not to move. Whoops.
A light homemade lunch, delicious Turkish rice and chicken.
After that, the implantation!
The doctor did the next part, which he explained was the most important: implanting / designing the hairline. He sat there and implanted my hairline for a while.
Afterward, the techs came in and started the exhaustive implantation process. Two techs did this simultaneously. I fell asleep pretty quickly (thankfully.) When I woke up, the doctor came in and said we had about 30 minutes left. Before I knew it, we were done!
The doctor helped my stand up, and they bandaged my recipient area and gave me a baseball cap and instructions. They offered me a taxi home, but I opted to walk (it’s a 5-minute walk and I enjoy it.)
They sent a lamb dinner to my hotel room! It was delicious, really exceptionally tasty.
The next day, I went in around 10 AM for washing and follow-up. Patricia joined me as a tech gently washed my scalp and taught me how to do it. They took more pictures. Then I met with Dr. Civas again. He gave me several sheets with instructions and explained it all thoroughly. He also answered all my new questions.
One of my major stressors was: why is my hairline so high? I thought we had taken it lower! This worried me the entire night before my follow up. Well, he explained the obvious: the 100cc saline was still swelling my head, which is why my head looked like a watermelon. (That explains a lot of the post-surgery pics I had seen on review sites. Derp.) It will take 10 days for that to fully dissipate. Whew.
As I write this review 6 days later, I can confirm my head is indeed shrinking and the hairline looks way better.
They gave me paracetamol (Tylenol), antibiotics, saline mist spray bottle (he gave me an extra one when I asked), Sebamed baby shampoo, and some pimple cream. He also recommended some local restaurants, which were great.
I didn’t have check-in luggage (I literally went there with a carry-on backpack.) Turkish security confiscated my shampoo but left everything else, thankfully. I ordered some online from Amazon, rush-delivery, to my house. I kept the saline mister in my cargo shorts pocket and sprayed my scalp throughout the flight, in the bathroom. I kept my cap on most of the time so I didn’t frighten anyone. LOL
I was even approached by an awesome guy and his wife in the airport, who inquired about my surgery! It felt really good to talk to another person that was thinking about getting the same surgery.
All in all, Dr. Civas and his team were amazing! Turkey was a great experience, and now I’m ready to see the results!
Here’s what I’m doing, 6 days in:
I’ve been sleeping with my head upright using a travel pillow since the operation. I’m going to use this for at least 10 days. You obviously need to be careful with the grafts post-surgery, as they can get knocked out and then you’ve permanently lost it. I have had this happen 3 times since the surgery, usually due to accidental touching or unconscious gentle scratching, fortunately all in non-critical areas. (I don’t -think- I’ve done any damage, as I read that grafts being lost will always result in bleeding, which I didn’t have, but I could be wrong.)
Starting day 2 or 3, there was some pretty bad throbbing, especially on the donor area. Tylenol and saline spray helps. As of right now, I don’t have any issues. I’m spraying like a madman. It feels great.
I also bought some Vitamin E Oil at Vitamin Shoppe, after reading some hair surgeons talk about it. It may help with pain and healing of the donor area. I’ve been applying it every morning, once per day. I haven’t applied it to the recipient area.
The doctor recommends using olive oil, or some kind of good oil, around 8 days and letting it sit for an hour, to help get the scabs off. I plan to use coconut oil, and I plan to be very delicate and apathetic about this process. I work from home and would rather lose scabs slowly, then risk pulling out a graft to get rid of a scab.
I’m using a plant waterer in the bathtub to wash my hair and grafts. I’m being more delicate than I need to, but better safe than sorry.
I ran out of saline spray. I bought some H2Ocean and like it a lot more. It even has more stuff in it (lycozyme, minerals.) Get some of this. It helps with healing and soothes the itching.
Updated on 31 Dec 2017:
It’s been 6 months since my surgery. I was hoping to do more frequent updates along the way, but this year has been absolutely crazy for me.
The redness in my scalp has disappeared between the 5 and 6 month mark, so that’s good. The numbness has also disappeared. It’s no longer itchy at all. Everything feels pretty much “normal” at this point, as far as sensation goes.
There’s still a way to go. The hairline has filled in the most, but it’s still a bit sparse for my liking. Overall, the hair growth is still patchy and inconsistent.
It looks pretty damn good.
I’ve had a girlfriend for about 2 months now. On Christmas, she found out I had the procedure done when I recommended it at dinner to her balding brother-in-law (I don’t have any shame or embarrassment in admitting my surgery.)
My regimen:
I’ve been using ketoconazole shampoos (Nizoral, etc) once every 3 days or so.
I also use Nioxin shampoo + conditioner every time I shower (definitely helped with making my new hair softer.)
I usually take biotin / hair vitamins daily, unless I forget or am lazy.
Thank you Hebdoc, very pleased…

Good Experience and Great Result
12 hours post-op
Working through HebeDoc, I selected Dr Civas clinic based on his credentials, reviews and fair pricing structure.
I had over 3000 grafts FUE, mostly to cover a receding hairline from male pattern baldness. Everything from organizing the trip, to completing the surgery went without any problems. I was well looked after and Dr Civas and his team were extremely friendly and professional.
12 months on I have a great new head of hair that is still improving. Very happy with the result.
Anyone thinking about having this procedure should consider this clinic.

Very good experience—hospitable, welcoming and a professional team.
Very hospitable, welcoming and a professional team.
I found Dr Civas to be professional, comforting and reassuring.
I returned home very satisfied with the procedure and full sure that I had made the correct decision in choosing Civas clinic on the referral of a past client.
Civas is not the cheapest but I would pay a few hundred more euros and go with them, it’s so worth it. I decided to pay for quality, and so far I am satisfied.
The hotel was close by and pleasant, and within a small walking distance of the clinic in a picturesque, upscale, quiet part of town.
There nice food on the street where the clinic is. The people look affluent, not at all what I expected in coming to Turkey. I could have been in Washington D.C….it was beautiful.
The driver was very accommodating with changes of times getting from and to the airport.

I had my hair transplant in October of 2015 and I’m very pleased with the results.
My hair looks full and natural and people I’ve met after the operation have been very surprised when I show them photos of my former receding hairline.
Dr. Civas and his staff are very friendly and professional. They took good care of me.
Visiting Turkey was an added bonus; it’s people are very westernized and you will quickly feel at home.

I did an enormous amount of research before finding HebeDoc and learning about Dr. Civas.
Everything was delivered as promised. The standard of his workmanship is superb and as a result I’ve had no end of compliments, and that includes from barbers who are surprised when I tell them that I’ve had a hair transplant.
It doesn’t get much better than that!

2 weeks ago, I went to Ankara, Turkey for my transplant done by Dr. Ekrem Civas who is a pioneer of hair transplantation, one of the most famous worldwide. He has written books and published articles about the different techniques.
Apart from being a great personality, he is also a phenomenal surgeon. His extensive experience combined with his first-rate team makes his a first-choice within the hair restoration field.
The 2 other doctors working with him have more than 15 years of experience. The clinic is sophisticated (walk inside and you could be in a Beverly Hills Clinic).
The clinic is located in a nice area of Ankara, 30/45 minutes from the airport, surrounded by international embassies from the USA (Ankara is Turkey’s capital) and higher-end hotels. In fact, the U.S. Embassy has Civas on their approved list of vendors for embassy personal.
I highly recommend sending your patients for hair transplantation here. I did it on the 6th of May, experienced no pain or discomfort, during and after the session. Even the first night I slept well, without any problem.
Doctor Civas is meticulous in explaining everything to you in great detail.
Very important: Dr. Civas is talented when it comes to designing your new hair line to hide any previous mistakes, makes it look real. In short—a barber will have a hard time detecting any evidence of a transplant. The before and after pictures are impressive!
Massimo, Birmingham UK.
This was my second hair transplant, my first transplant in the UK, with another clinic, did not turn out well. I received 1,800 grafts this time to enhance my hairline and make correction to my previous hair transplant.
From the moment I arrived I knew I made the best choice. The staff are warm and welcoming and do everything to make sure your surgery and stay is the best it can be.
Dr. Civas is a first-class hair transplant surgeon and the surgery performed by him and his assistants is of the highest standard.
I am very happy with my new hairline and highly recommend Civas for your hair transplant. I paid 70% less than I did for my first surgery in the UK, and it pleases me a great deal to tell you the standard at Civas is higher and the quality superior to what I had done in the UK.
Thank you Civas!
Hisham, Dubai
I’m extremely pleased with the surgery. 2,950 transplanted in 8 hours, 5 juices and 1 lunch. Dr. Civas is highly competent and with his team performed an exceptional job. The same day I had a dinner outside with my girlfriend and had no problem.
After 1 month, all seems fine and I’m waiting for my new hair. Thank you Dr. Ekrem Ps: Gonca (Patients coordinator) is the friendliest person and welcomes you as if you were at home.

To Dr. Civas and the F.U.E Team involved in my procedure, a very big thank you, for all your kindness and professionalism. From the outset, you explained the procedure and answered all my questions and concerns honestly and quickly.
I felt quite embarrassed and ashamed about my bald patches but you were considerate and very understanding when I explained my situation. I was treated with kindness and empathy right from the start of our consultation.
We agreed a date for the operation, but unfortunately, due to work commitments, I had to return to England sooner than I had originally planned. However, you kindly moved my operation forward to fit in with my schedule. You were always on hand to answer any questions I had.
Operation day, I was worried about my procedure and you put me at ease and everything went smoothly. I was really happy that you communicated with me continuously throughout. I was surprised at how quick and painless the procedure was.
You told me that the procedure would be 100% pain free and it was! My aftercare was excellent! Before I left your clinic, I was given everything to ensure I remained pain free and antibiotics to remain infection free.
You called me to make sure that I was recovering well and you also told me to ring the office anytime I wanted. I returned to the clinic, the next day for my first hair wash.
I want to say thanks to all your team who were always very kind, considerate and caring. Your all so good at what you do and very positive!!!
I am now 19 days post-op and very pleased with the results so far. In fact, the results have exceeded my expectations.
It is still early days but the grafts look great!!!
I will highly recommend Dr Civas and his brilliant team, to anyone wishing to have this procedure. If I had to do this procedure again I would come back to Dr Civas and I would not change a thing because my experience has been first class!!! Thanks again! :)) xx

Thank you. A million thanks to you and all the members of your clinic, it was wonderful to be your patient. You took such a good care of me and made me feel so welcomed. You’re awesome!

36 Years Old, 3500 Grafts. Turkey, TR
I had a previous Hair transplant of 2700 FUT done in London with Dr May in 2014. It was not as good as I expected and the results were not as hoped. After researching and contemplating further work, I picked Dr. Civas in Ankara to do the transplant.
Travel to Turkey was memorable. We lost our bag. Fortunately, all ended well. This was the first time we traveled abroad together and neither of us have traveled a lot.
I can’t find the words how could I thank Patricia for all of her help.
Thanks to you, you were able to locate our suitcase. Thank you for taking good care of us. Thanks for everything! We will never forget this! You are the BEST!

28-Year-Old 3400 Grafts
I had a FUE procedure with Dr Civas. I had been considering it for about 2 years. I started losing my hair about 6 years ago. Though it wasn’t so bad I wanted to get it done before it became really noticeable.
I’m extremely pleased with the procedure and the results.
It’s been 4 months since the surgery and I’m starting to see great results. Especially after seeing the prior photo. And there’s more results to come!! Very exciting

FUE in Ankara, Turkey – Extremely Satisfied – Ankara, TR
Arrived in Ankara on Monday. Impressed by the professionalism of the staff, from the patient coordinator whose mother tongue is English, to the assistants.
Hotel is a 4 min walk to clinic. Pre op consultation was clear and everything explained in detail. Dr Civas takes the time to explain and make you feel at ease.
The next day, surgery. They take only one patient per day. 3 nurses work alongside Dr. Civas, who have been working with him for over 10 years. Surgery room very clean, state of the art.
Dr Civas draws your hairline and injects an anesthetic, an almost painless process. Slightly uncomfortable for a second and then all is good. I cannot tell much about the surgery itslef as I slept almost all the time!
Dr Civas made all the incisions himself, and starts getting the grafts before handing over to the nurses who work in a very efficient manner. Which is why I fell asleep…
Everyone is so kind, you feel that you are not just a number. At noon I had a quick lunch and they started inserting the grafts. And then it was over in 8 hours.
They gave me a cap, all medications and ordered a taxi – after the surgery it is preferable even for such a short walk! An assistant even accompanied me.
A complimentary dinner is served in room. No pain for now, just a bit tired. Amazing results.
I am really glad I went for Civas Clinic. There are cheaper alternatives in Turkey but dr Civas is the only ISHRS fellow and a member of the American Board of hair restoration surgery. I cannot speak highly enough of him.
Appointment tomorrow to remove the bandage. Am really stoked.
Updated on 24 May 2016:
6 days post surgery. I had quite a bit of swelling on the 3Rd day. No pain. A bit itchy.
Updated on 29 May 2016:
Dr Civas recommended to moisten the scalp with olive oil which has good properties for the skin. I used aloe vera, applying a thick layer one hour before showering.
Updated on 30 May 2016:
99% of scabs are gone. There is some redness. The donor area is itchy at times, 1 on a scale from 1 to 10, lasting no more than 2 seconds. This happens perhaps 5-6 times a day.
The grafted area is insensitive near the forehead. I notice a difference with low-cost clinics pictures: where others have a pattern in the grafts (a sort of Z) which makes me think of a field of rice or similar, my grafts are completely random, more natural.
I like short haircuts. I think there is a difference when you get a team of specialists who know what they are doing and have been doing it for years, as opposed to nurses who just started in this and have little interest in the effective results, knowing that the patient is coming only because of the low price.
I’m really happy that I chose this clinic and his team. On a side note, I moisten my scalp at night with skin moisturizing cream which helps the scabs detach during the morning shower. Today back in the gym!
Updated on 19 Sep 2016:
My hairdresser, knows of my procedure. She told me Dr Civas did an extremely good job, as she’s used to see FUE guys that usually it looks like “corn fields”, exactly what she said. Corn crops…. Haha.
Initially I was wearing the cap from the clinic. Now, I walk bare head and nobody seems to notice. My new girlfriend did not notice anything. Overall, really happy. I did not shed all my hair, so what you see is most likely the remaining hair, plus some new hair, the rest is just starting to grow.
Looks good, when it’s raining. I don’t feel the rain over my scalp (i HATED the feeling). So really happy.
I can only confirm what I wrote initially about Dr Civas. I would go again without hesitation, so glad I chose him.
I read after the surgery many horror stories about unnatural looks, poor results from cheap clinics, including some ppl starting to lose hair 2/3 years after surgery. I’m not there yet, but from what I read this is due to poor transplantation.
Updated on 28 Jun 2017:
It’s been over a year now. I recently had my hair dyed so that the white hair doesn’t show. I am very happy that I did the FUE surgery with Dr Civas.
– During that year I experienced some itching sometimes on the donor area. Nothing painful. Now it’s gone. The hairs on my forehead are exactly as they were when I was 20. The covering is very good. Not bad for a 50-year-old.
Can other people tell? For the past 3 months I have been dating a girl who is 34 and she did not make any remark or comment about my hair. She dyed my hair, so I am sure she has seen it from very close – but she never asked. Nor has anyone else since my hair returned to normal.
I have a picture of me pre surgery. I can’t believe I looked like that, bald and old!
My FUE surgery is a major success, it has helped me with my confidence and it makes me look younger. I’m a very happy and would do it again without hesitation!

I’m 32 working in Abu Dhabi, I’ve been balding since I was 21 and now, it’s at the point where I either shave it off (and have absolutely no self-confidence because it doesn’t suit me one bit) or get a hair transplant.
I loss lot of hair, a good friend referred me to HebeDoc and here I am.There are over a 100 surgeons in Turkey, I’m confident HebeDoc has found the best, U.S. Board Certified, heavily credentialed and lots of positive reviews .
Dr. Ekrim Civas has many years of experience, tremendous educational knowledge, written books on hair surgery and hair advice, given speeches at International Conventions and is recognized by the most Hair Transplant Governing bodies around the World.
I did my hair transplant 4 weeks ago and I was very pleased with his services.
From the time you are picked at the airport to the time you leave, the team take very good care of you and make you feel so comfortable. Specially Patricia Petkey she was very helpful.
Dr. Civas is very skilled in hair transplantation, he has 18 years’ experience and that made me very comfortable. He also had a very good personality that made me free to discuss any of my fears with him. He explained to me realistic expectations, and showed me his patient’s results.
I was impressed by his work, His work ethic and the time he takes with his patients. The hair transplant went perfectly well with 3200 grafts FUE. I am now looking forward to the results.
I recommend him to anyone who is considering doing a hair transplant in Turkey. Dr. Ekrem Civas and his team are great. I am very impressed with Dr. Civas and my 2nd hair transplant surgery I will go with Dr. Civas.
Thanks you very much Hebedoc and Dr. Civas.

Dr Ekrem Civas, 3200 Grafts FUE
3 days post-op+9
I am in my mid-forties, from the UK and I started losing my hair 23 years ago.
At first it was just receding around the temples, but this progressed slowly over the years and is now very noticeable and advanced.
About 8-10 year ago when my hair loss started to become more noticeable I saw an ad for Bosley while in NY on holiday and I was intrigued. They made it look so easy to get your hair back. I got online and poked around and was lucky to find some good forums that documented many horror stories from places like Bosley (it seems I dodged a bullet).
On these forums I came across some dude called Spencer something who represented certain doctors and I sent him photos for evaluation. He told me that I needed strip, which for me was not an option as I didn’t want the scar, so I put it to bed.
I shaved my head and got on with life. Then a few years ago a friend of mine who had similar balding patter to myself had FUE in the US and it looked bloody great.
I could not get over it. I thought, going bald isn’t so bad, but if you can get your hair back then why not? I could not afford what he paid in the US, $27,000 so I started looking into medical tourism, which seemed much more affordable.
Quickly I was overwhelmed. Until, I found HebeDoc.
I narrowed it down to a few doctors who were ABHRS and/or ISHRS:
Dr Ekrem Civas – Very well qualified doctor, much more so than the others. His list of credentials is impressive and he regularly publishes research on hair restoration and speaks at international hair restoration forums.
The price was right too – bang on budget. My gut just said ‘this is the place’, and I decided to go with them back in October 2016, but could not get a date to fit in with my work and travel commitments.
I managed to achieve this in February 2018 (and even this was a last minute cancellation, as I had 2 weeks between jobs and so could squeeze it in and hope I recovered in time to go back to work!).
So, I flew down to Ankara, arrived around 9pm and the driver was waiting in a brand new VW minibus. He took me to a small boutique hotel, close to the clinic. The hotel was very nice – plush, clean and comfortable.
I know for many, the hotel is not that important, but for me it was. I was very impressed and happy with the hotel and the part of town I was in – this built my confidence up for the surgery itself.
I walked to the clinic the next day around 8am and was met by a nice lady who asked me to change into hospital scrubs and shaved my head.
The doctor turned up soon after. He could see I was nervous and he tried very hard to put me at ease and make me feel relaxed.
Dr Civas is a very kind, humane and friendly person, with genuine concern for his patients and staff.
After some get-to-know-you talk he drew the hairline, which I thought looked good, then we proceeded to the surgery itself.
First came the injections, which most posters describe as the worst part of the surgery. I actually didn’t feel much pain at all – just tiny stings that were not that painful.
Soon my head was numb and the doctor and his team went on to the extractions. These took a while, with the techs doing most of the work. The doctor came in regularly to check on progress and ask me how I was feeling.
After the extractions were done, I had a short lunch break and a brief rest and we went on to the second part of the surgery, which were the incisions and the implantation.
The doctor made the incisions himself – 3200 cuts into the scalp – but I could not feel anything.
Thereafter, another short rest and we went on to the implantation stage, which lasted around 4 hours and for me was the most difficult part of the day as you cannot really move around.
The doctor begins the process, guides the techs and then they get on with it alone, however he is never far away and he checks in periodically.
I fell asleep a few times, had a break halfway through and before I knew it I was done. They cleaned me up, I had a final briefing with Doctor Civas and I went back to the hotel.
I felt good, like I had made the right decision with this clinic, and I was relieved it was over and there were no hitches.
The clinic sent me a complimentary dinner that night which was delicious (I can’t seem to get enough of Turkish food!) and I propped myself up on a couple of pillows and fell asleep.
I didn’t feel any pain at all, just very mild discomfort, and I slept a total of ten hours the first night. The next day I kicked around the hotel during the morning, spraying my head with the saline solution the clinic had given me, and waiting for check out time.
I left the hotel at 2pm and went to the clinic for bandage removal and first washing. It was a great relief to remove the bandage from my head. The nurse washed my head and Patricia was also present.
From there, I had a final debrief with Dr Civas, where he went over the post-care treatment once more and checked if I was feeling fine.
We shook hands and the taxi came to take me to the airport. Flying back was the part I was dreading the most. The clinic had given me a large size baseball cap with adjustable band at the back, so I wore this carefully. At security the guard asked me to take off the cap, which I did briefly.
I sprayed my head a few times while waiting to board, and wore the cap on the plane for the flight home.
Now I am in my 2nd day post-surgery. Donor area is a bit tender but sleeping is fine so long as I prop myself up a bit. Recipient area is the same, I spray regularly with the saline solution.
All in all, very pleased…

One year on – Best thing I ever did
13 months post-op
Dr Civas and HebeDoc are incredible.
It’s now been a year since I had the surgery and its one of the best things I’ve ever done!
The surgery itself was nothing to be worried about and the knowledge of getting a full hairline back makes those first couple of months of having it bald, whilst growing back worthwhile.
They were all so lovely and I still chat to them now, a year on. If you’re having doubts, that’s understandable, but it’s so worth it.
I’m so glad I did it!
It’s hard to believe what I use to look like, now that I have a full head of hair

I got my hair transplant done a week ago and I can’t be happier with the service
I got my hair transplant done a week ago and I can’t be happier with the service I received from their clinic. Dr Civas and his entire staff do an amazing job.
The minute you decide to take a step to get the procedure, you know this would be a life changing experience. I can’t wait to see the results of the hair transplant.

I can truly say my results are still amazing
A year ago, almost to date, I had my hair transplant with Dr. Civas.
I promised myself I will wait the full year before I ever advise anyone if this was a good idea or not. Before I took this decision, I did extensive research that included at least 5 consults with similar world-renowned hair transplant surgeons in the USA.
I was then taken to my booked hotel near the office. I was offered a tour of the city with a personal driver as well. Now, let’s talk surgery team. I was greeted with the most
professionalism, respect and welcome at the office.
My consultation went as we had previously discussed via phone texts. Next day I went in for what I thought to be the longest day of my life. It’s hard not to move and listen to all the guidance given by the team. It felt like I was in that chair for a lot longer than the expected 8 hours.
I went back to my Hotel room that night unsure of what to expect and how this might turn out. I was so concerned and unsure if the decision to do go through the procedure was the right decision.
I was worried when I felt a bit of pain that night and saw spots of blood on my pillow the next morning. I was also uncomfortable that night I had to sleep in an upright position on my back.
Thanks to my amazing wife for being by my side every step of the way, we made it through that night. Went back the next morning to take off my bandage and have my head shampooed.
The week or so started by being extremely cautious not itch/ scratch/ or do anything but follow the safety guidelines I was provided from washing my hair, shock loss to avoiding hitting me head accidentally, wearing the hat in sunny days for 90 days to for, etc.
I watched for the next few months as my hair was buzz cut trying to make a comeback. Then about 6mo in, I started seeing small hairs grow and a year to date today I can truly say my results are still amazingly shocking as I look myself in the mirror with a full head of hair! It’s an emotional experience, having a full head of hair once again.
I look like I gained 15 years of youth! I see men, walking through mid-life, down, overweight, bald and think—He needs to go to Civas! It would change his entire outlook on life!!
My side effects experienced were everything written on the guidance sheet provided by the team according to each phase post pressure. My only remaining side effect is some numbness remaining in the transplant area, however I feel like it’s not affecting my quality of life or than I just notice no feeling when I brush my hair.
I wanted to thank Dr. Civas, his team and HebeDoc for doing a great job and providing great accommodations that made us feel right at home.

After a lot of research and careful consideration, I decided on Hebedoc for my transplantation. I like the idea of earning points towards dental or even a follow-up transplant which I believe I will need within the next 10 years.
I was a bit hesitant at first because it is hard to find reviews of him online. This motivated me to at least write a review here and help others who are in doubt.
Kayihan is a member of the ISHRS which showed me he takes his profession seriously, and secondly that I was able to have a video consultation with him online. Here it became clear that he knows very well what he is doing, and doesn’t promise you things which are either unrealistic or unwise.
When I arrived in beautiful Istanbul I knew instantly I had made the right choice. Kayihan and his staff are very friendly and skilled. During the final consultation he takes your wishes into consideration and gives his advice on what he would do in your case.
The procedure itself was long, but as pleasant as it can be. It’s clear you are in good hands. Kayihan constantly checks whether everything is all-right or whether you need something. After the procedure he gives you very clear instructions regarding the period after the transplant, as well as a package with useful attributes.
I’m writing this review the day after my transplant, I feel great and everything looks great. Obviously it’s way too early to say anything about the final result.
Bottom line: I would without a doubt recommend Kayihan to anyone considering a transplant!
I know from personal experience how hard it is to find the right clinic, and I just hope this helps whoever is in a similar situation as I was!
Thank you Hebedoc!

After much research, I decided to have an operation with Dr. Sahinoglu and can only recommend him and Hebedoc.
Kevin Larcher
The step of doing HT was a decision-making process that took several months. And actually until the end, along with a certain anticipation, also left certain doubts open before the operation.
One of the main questions I kept asking myself was whether, at 30, it was too early to have HT and whether it would be advisable to wait and see.
During this time of decision-making, I began to deal more intensively with the topic and to research it. The flood of information on the subject seems practically unlimited on the Internet. As a doctor I have also tried to educate myself with scientific literature.
It seemed all the more important to me to fall back on experts who have a lot of experience with the topic and who can make a balanced analysis of the overall situation and not just promise you the moon.
Fortunately, I came across the Hebedoc team and through them Prof. Sahinoglu.
The Hebedoc team calmed my doubts and fears I had in the days before the HT and were extremely helpful and courteous in communicating before departure.
I trusted that I will be in good hands.
This reassurance was largely the result of the fact that in Prof. Sahinoglu, with his many years of expertise, I saw a practitioner who – especially in my case as a relatively young patient – does not treat too aggressively and not only pays attention to this good result for the coming year and the year after, but one for several years.
The surgery itself was actually almost a pleasure. The organization of Hebedoc worked flawlessly. Prof. Sahinoglu and his team were extremely accommodating and nice from the start, so you’re in good hands.
I can only speak in the most positive tones about Prof. Sahinoglu as a person and as the doctor treating him. He deals with you as a patient and tries to find a suitable solution. Even when I – as a doctor colleague – asked some critical questions, he answered calmly and in a way that made sense to me, so that even the last doubts that still existed until the end were removed.
I’m glad I took the step. Of course I can’t say anything about the result yet, but I’m super happy I was able to enjoy the treatment organized by HebeDoc with such a nice and proven colleague!
A heartfelt thank you!

I highly recommend this place !!!
Very professional clean & straight to the point !!
Having several procedures done for a fracture of the price in the U.S.,
You’re in good hands… You won’t regret coming here !!
Thank you for your great service.

First Rate Treatment by top hair surgeon and his competent team at a fair price.
I only had my hair surgery today, so I cannot judge on the long term results, but I am convinced Dr. Sahinoglu did an outstanding job, starting from the hairline design, the optimal scoping of the procedure, factoring in, esthetics, donor yield and long-term perspective. Once the action plan is agreed, it is he who will perform the most critical steps of the procedure himself, from local anesthesia (the only part that unavoidably is a bit unpleasant, everything else is completely pain-free) to extracting the grafts and slitting the reception canals. Graft implantation is done by his assistants who are noticeably very skilled and experienced at it and of course monitored by the maestro. In between there are breaks for refreshments and lunch which you are having together with Doctor Sahinoglu while enjoying the panoramic view from the 24th floor. Before, after, and every step of the way photos are taken from different angles. At the end you get fitted with post-op medication and thorough advice on all the “dos and dont’s” to ensure an optimal recovery and result. Communication was smooth as Dr. Sahinoglu speaks excellent English. Pricing is upper league by Turkish standards but so is the quality of the service and when it comes to personal health you don’t want to save at the wrong end. I saved thousands of dollars with HebeDoc for my hair transplant. It would have been foolish for me to worry about a few hundred at the expense of results. From my perspective: a clear recommendation! If you are toying with the idea of hair restoration, this clinic should be on your short-list!
Michael May
Very good result!!!

I had my HT with Dr.Sahinoglu on 12/24/21, organized through HebeDoc. I contacted several clinics, but it was clear to me from the start that I had to feel 100% comfortable because I’ve been suffering from hair loss for 20 years.
After doing my own research, I really liked Hebedoc and in particular Dr. Sahinoglu’s work. EVERYTHING was perfect there! I don’t regret a thing! Professional through and through!
Dr.S took about 40 minutes for the whole consultation! He addressed everything that was important to me. I don’t think it gets any more personal than that.
No other patients, distractions or anything. Pure focus on me.
You have breakfast with the doctor, and lunch with Dr. Sahinoglu during the breaks and that was a great experience! It is simply something very special and cannot be compared with a hospital or large clinic with 100s of employees.
We first discussed transplanting about 2400-3000 grafts, in the email offer. In person it became clear only 2000 grafts were appropriate; so less expensive for me.
This clinic is not about just making money, but good results. This reinforces my positive impression!
No package price for 4000 grafts or anything else like in the big clinics where money is more important!
The practice is modern, clean and on the 24th floor. EVERY concern/question is addressed and time is taken so that you just feel super cared for.
The small team is great. The follow-up care is also exceptional.
I was given the Dr.’s phone number if I had any questions, so I can ask him myself!
I would like to thank HebeDoc for introducing me to such a high-quality doctor and making the process so easy.
From the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU!!!!!! You changed my life!
Best regards, Daniel G

I researched for over a year and consulted various clinics in Turkey, before finding Hebedoc. Because of my budget and many acquaintances and friends who had their hair done through Hebedoc, I too decided on Turkey.
Many clinics do an incredible amount of advertising and it is difficult to get a clear picture here. Luckily I found Hebedoc and had the opportunity to talk to acquaintances and friends who had already had a hair transplant and was able to base my decision not only on online research but also on their reports and results.
Finally, I decided on Dr. Sahinoglu for the following reasons:
1) Number of grafts is not the only criterion. Many clinics advertise 5,000 or more grafts in one session. I’m in my mid-30s and age-related hair loss can progress until I’m about 50. That’s why Dr. Sahinoglu advised me to transplant only 2,700 grafts. Existing roots can also be damaged during transplantation, which is why the focus was on bald and thin areas, so a second transplantation is also possible later on, since the donor area is still intact.
2) Only as much as necessary and as little as possible should be removed from the donor area (back of the head). The grafts were removed evenly and after a week the area had already healed quite well, of course the removal area is still red but the hair is already growing back and covering the red areas.
At the airport in Istanbul I saw many other patients where the donor area was massively harvested on a much smaller area.
3) Dr. Sahinoglu’s treatment was more expensive than at any of the countless clinics, hair mills. After much deliberation, I made a conscious decision to do so, because you can see the result after about 1 year and ideally you have the result for the rest of your life.
During my research, the hair transplant I received from Dr. Sahinoglu looked the most natural. The hairline looked natural and not straight as drawn with a felt tip pen, the donor area was taken evenly and the treatment was performed by Dr. Sahinoglu performed himself, only the insertion was carried out by his medical assistants.
In most clinics it is different, there you see the doctor for the preliminary consultation and the marking of the hairline and the rest of the treatment is carried out almost exclusively by the assistants, removing the grafts, piercing the hair canals and inserting the grafts.
4) The treatment was very pleasant, I had visits to the dentist that were more unpleasant. The treatment was really painless and for the first few days afterwards I had a little swelling and no pain.
If I had known that the whole procedure was so easy, I probably would have made an appointment earlier.

It’s the second time I’ve come, I’m happy with the result. Dr Kayihan is very friendly and clinical on a human scale 👍🏼

I have had a session of hair transplant done by Dr Kayihan Sahinoglu and must state that I am completely satisfied. After a long and lengthy research from (Sydney Australia) among so many options in Turkey, I decided to go ahead with Dr Sahinoglu.
It was an easy and smooth operation and the result is so natural and amazing. My barber could not believe it. Thank you so much for the great work.

While researching on the internet, I came across Hebedoc and Dr Kayihan Sahinoglu. The online reviews and his previous work as a university professor in a medical school convinced me.
I am writing this message 6 weeks after my procedure and so far I am completely satisfied with the results: both the donor area and the recipient area have healed well.
I arranged my procedure through HebeDoc, traveled to Istanbul for two nights and had a pleasant stay (Marriott Hotel Asia). On the day of the procedure, I was picked up from the hotel at 6 a.m. and taken to the clinic (the “clinic” is more like a dental practice in an office building).
After a preliminary discussion with Dr. Sahinoglu and a small breakfast began the procedure, which lasted 8 hours and included 3000 grafts. There were several breaks during the procedure during which me and Dr. Sahinoglu ate lunch or drank coffee together. The procedure itself was mostly painless, except for the tips of local anesthetic (similar to what you would get from a dentist).
Dr. Sahinoglu removed the donor hair and placed the recipient hair himself. During the procedure, I was asked several times about my comfort level and asked to report any discomfort immediately.
Dr Sahinoglu’s team of three assistants transplanted the hair follicles in the last 4 hours. At larger clinics, doctors only place the recipient incisions. However, harvesting is a similarly important step that influences the success of the transplant (eg, survival of the transplanted hair follicles or healing of the donor area). A few days after my return, HebeDoc followed up and asked me how I was.
I’ve been considering a transplant for several years and I’m very glad I finally took the plunge. My experience with Dr. Sahinolgu was excellent. The procedure was a little more expensive than other offers online, but the higher price is entirely reasonable: Dr. Sahinoglu studied in the USA, has been practicing it for 20 years and performs several procedures weekly. You can tell, patient welfare and medical integrity are more important to him than profit.
My recovery period lasted almost 2 weeks. The discomfort was tolerable but regular, which is why I used ibuprofen/paracetamol/aspirin.
A neck pillow was absolutely necessary to protect the wounds: on the one hand in the first few nights and on the other hand on the return flight. Dr Sahinoglu strongly advises against head nets/caps to avoid dislodging the transplanted follicles.
Dinner at the Pacaci Hikmet restaurant next to the Marriott was delicious!

I expected a high level of recommendations and the approval I received exceeded expectations.
Beyond excellent service provided by Hebedoc and amazing staff, Dr. Sinuaglo is simply a true professional, honest and above all, the natural look is important to him.
He is simply an artist. There is no other word. Without a doubt, I recommend it to everyone.
Not only does he carry out the entire treatment, he is close to you all day, even breakfast and lunch you sit together.
Just a pleasure.
